I have been practicing archery for 2 years now, going to the public practices as it is marked in the club calendar. Now, the funny part is that about 3 years ago, if someone told me that I would be a active member of a sports club, I would have laughed so much, I would have choked. Now it has been 2 years and I don’t regret anything about it.
On the 27th of October, I was at my first competition, shooting a recurve instinct bow from 30 meters. I did ok, in my own opinion, but I didn’t get past the first tournament bracket, but we all shot our qualifying rounds and everyone past it. This was a club event and it was mostly having fun with friends, low key competition and practicing for “real” competitions.
I scored 512 points with 72 arrows, below is a table of my score per round. My average score is 7.11… and both median and mode being 7. You can find the spreadsheet from here
|Round||Arrow 1||Arrow 2||Arrow 3||Set score||Total score||Set average||Set average vs Total average|
To conclude, I am trying to improve my skills and start raising the average point count up, while keeping the set average vs total average difference as small as possible.
